• Material: High-quality Mild Steel (like ASTM A36), known for its strength, ductility, and ease of fabrication.
• Shape & Size: Typically square or rectangular, available in various thicknesses and custom dimensions.
• Function: Distributes concentrated loads, prevents structural shifting, provides a solid bearing surface, and allows for accurate alignment.
• Features: Often includes pre-drilled holes for anchor bolts, a smooth finish for easy welding, and sometimes protective coatings (like galvanization) for corrosion resistance.

Foundation Plate

• Description: A steel plate with holes for bolts, often with a central hole or slots for the bolt shank to pass through, welded to the J-bolt.
• Function: Distributes the load from the J-bolt over a wider area of the foundation and provides a stable base for the connected structure. 

J-Bolt

• Description: A heavy-duty threaded rod with one end bent into a J-shape (hook) and the other end threaded.
• Material: Typically mild steel (MS), high-strength steel, or stainless steel, sometimes galvanized.
• Function: The hooked end embeds in concrete, creating a mechanical lock against pull-out forces, while the threaded end secures components above the foundation. 

Nuts & Washers

• Description: Standard hex nuts and flat washers that thread onto the exposed end of the J-bolt.
• Function: Secure the foundation plate (and thus the structure) to the bolt, tightening the assembly firmly against the concrete.
